About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and fast software delivery
- Operate and support applications across the full SDLC, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response
- Implement and improve observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution
- Collaborate with Development and Product teams to improve system performance and developer productivity
- Optimize cloud usage to contribute to cost efficiency and governance
- Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles in a product-based environment
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS
- Solid experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus, ELK stack)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or Bash
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and system design principles
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet
- Familiarity with data systems such as PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch
- Exposure to cloud cost optimization strategies
