Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AUV system architecture definition and selection of supporting sensors
• Conduct trade studies for sensors, battery systems, and mechanical implementations
• Create technical documentation including interface control documents and test plans
• Analyze field test data to diagnose performance anomalies
• Lead planning and conduct of product environmental and field testing
• Lead integration of third-party sensors and payloads
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid-level and junior GNC engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Robotics, or related engineering field
• 15+ years of professional systems engineering experience on complex hardware/software systems
• Experience with integration and test processes and anomaly resolution
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Ventura, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AUV, USV, or other autonomous vehicle programs
• Familiarity with underwater navigation sensors (INS, DVL, acoustic)
• Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
• Active DoD clearance
