About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of the next generation Autonomy Fault Management System
- Execute systems and safety engineering across the full V-model lifecycle
- Develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts including requirements, traceability, and V&V plans
- Support the definition of fault management architecture and concept of operations
- Perform analyses to support detection thresholds, hazard prioritization, and risk evaluation
- Support system trade studies related to fault coverage, safety, and operational performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align implementation with system requirements
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in engineering or a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in real-time safety-critical applications (autonomous vehicles, aerospace, nuclear, etc.)
- Experience with fault management, diagnostics, and safe-state behaviors
- Proficiency in reading C/C++ code
- Experience with Systems Engineering V-model and product life cycles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
