Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace system requirements
• Design, develop, and model systems and sub-systems using SysML
• Develop and verify test procedures at both system and sub-system levels
• Utilize JIRA to decompose features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Identify program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects
• Represent system design at internal and external customer meetings
• Engage in classified lab environments to apply technical expertise hands-on

Requirements

• STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience)
• Experience with network architectures using physical and virtual networks
• Proficiency with VMWare or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Oracle)
• Proven experience in systems engineering, including requirements derivation and tracing
• Proven experience mentoring a team of Systems Engineers
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or active US security clearance
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools like MagicDraw Cameo, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect
• Agile experience in leadership roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer
• Working knowledge of project/task estimation tools like SEER
• Experience with peer review, configuration management, and root cause analysis
