Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead sub-system development for major new product programs or manage the entire scope of smaller programs.
• Provide technical expertise in heat transfer, thermodynamics, fan systems, and thermal management for next-generation HVAC&R and electronic control systems.
• Develop and execute testing and qualification protocols for systems, sub-systems, and components.
• Perform reliability analysis of components and systems and review test results against design specifications.
• Coordinate the development and release of engineering documents.
• Provide daily direction to supporting Designers and Test Technicians.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Identify reliable and cost-effective purchased components for new product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems, structural analysis, or electronic control systems.
• 3+ years of experience in the specification, design, development, and manufacture of products in HVAC refrigeration and compression.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering.
• Experience with model-based design techniques and thermo-fluid system control development.
• Proficiency with tools such as Ansys/Fluent, Matlab/Simulink, Creo, or SAP.
• Knowledge of industry standards including CSA/ANSI, UL, AHRI, ASHRAE, DOE, or EPA.
• Experience integrating and verifying/validating performance of complex systems.
