Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and guidance to integrator developers for the AN/SQQ-89 Advanced Baselines
• Conduct comprehensive engineering reviews, including Performance Specification (P-Spec), Functional Description Document (FDD), and Interface Design Specifications (IDS)
• Participate in the AN/SQQ-89 Requirements Working Group to address performance requirements for CRUDES platforms and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) baselines
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Bug Adjudication Board meetings to analyze reported issues within installed baselines
• Develop system integration documentation, including Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Interface Change Requests (ICRs)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
• 10 years of professional systems engineering experience, specifically in support of Undersea Warfare (USW)
• 5 years of experience as a team leader performing systems analysis, engineering, and mission planning
• Proven experience with combat systems, command and control (C2) systems, and simulation/stimulation systems
• Experience working with both Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software technologies
• Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
• Ability to work onsite at NSWC Dahlgren

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in top-level system architecture design and program requirement development
• Expertise in evaluating and refining existing system requirements and supporting upgrades
• Ability to review and contribute to Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Concept of Employment (CONEMP) documents
• Experience supporting technology refresh initiatives and analyzing emerging technologies for USW systems
