Senior Systems Designer

Responsibilities

• Craft meaningful goals for players that build exposure, experience, and mastery of game mechanics within the Fortnite world
• Spearhead innovation in engagement design, including systems, progression, and rewards
• Communicate and represent a vision for the player experience across multiple cross-disciplinary teams
• Collaborate with product management and marketing to ensure player satisfaction and ecosystem growth
• Drive collaborative and iterative live design to prototype, test, and iterate quickly

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience shipping multiple titles as a game designer
• Experience with engagement content or goal-based progression systems in live-service multiplayer environments
• Deep understanding of player motivations, forms of play, and the effects of goal setting
• Strong interest in Battle Royale and the Fortnite ecosystem
• Ability to react quickly to changing project needs and drive decisions
