Senior System Test & Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and test complete solutions using Silvus hardware and software products to provide full coverage of wireless communication system feature sets
• Design and implement logging and log analysis tools to capture performance of systems under test and test infrastructure
• Help define new products and features through product evaluations and field tests
• Work with software development teams to augment production test systems for new features and configurations
• Perform manufacturing failure troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production failures
• Test and harden existing features through firmware and hardware changes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in embedded firmware development, testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and Python (or 3 years with an advanced degree)
• Experience in wireless/networking or electronics manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with lab instruments including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with wireless and radio communication systems and RF signal propagation principles
• Experience with digital communication technologies
• Demonstrated experience with TCP/IP networking
