Senior System Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-silicon and board bring-up with Windows on Arm
• Develop and triage platform drivers for SOCs
• Create debug tools and triage automation to isolate faulting IPs and components
• Support the OEM ecosystem and engage in co-engineering to provide innovative solutions
• Assist with Boot KPIs, Security, and OS drivers
• Support various ecosystem-related verticals
• Follow device lifecycles from pre-silicon through bring-up to production
• Participate in architecture definition, early modeling, and simulation

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience
• Strong understanding of ARM microarchitecture and ARM exception levels
• Hands-on experience with Windows on Arm systems, Windows Debug Tools, and debug methodologies
• Experience with pre-silicon, silicon bring-up, and stability triage
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming
• Solid understanding of Windows Driver Model (WDM), KMDF architecture, ACPI, and UEFI
• Familiarity with computer system architecture (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.)
• Strong operating systems fundamentals, including Kernel and Hypervisor experience on Windows and Linux
• Experience with debuggers such as WinDBG, T32, or JTAG
• Experience with compilers like GCC, MSVC, or LLVM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Windows on Arm product development within IBV/ISV/IHV ecosystems
• Strong background in sophisticated system-level debugging
• Experience working on system-level reliability and resiliency features
• Familiarity with system-level security concepts
• Experience with embedded system software concepts
