About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop safety (ISO26262) and security (ISO21434) compliant system software for the NVIDIA DRIVE platform
  • Create real-time system software solutions for NVIDIA Tegra SOCs
  • Perform development and bring-up activities for next-generation Tegra SOC hardware
  • Collaborate with ASIC teams to enhance virtualization support within the SOC
  • Design debugging solutions and tooling to improve the developer experience on the DRIVE platform
  • Develop workflows and tools to measure and harness maximum system software performance
  • Utilize Formal Methods to develop high-integrity software and enhance toolchain automation

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
  • 8+ years of experience in system software development for real-time embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system fundamentals
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Ada/SPARK programming and debugging
  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as gdb or valgrind
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a dedicated, action-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of embedded systems and RTOS like QNX or RT Linux
  • Experience with ARM architecture and writing low-level software for ARM v8 based SOCs
  • Experience managing features through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Proficiency with performance analysis tools such as gprof, perf, or system analyzer tools
  • Experience with formal methods, specifically TLA+ and Ada/SPARK toolchains
  • Familiarity with PCI and PCI-based endpoint drivers (e.g., NVME storage)
