Senior System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of products, systems, and components across the complete product lifecycle.
• Develop technical requirements and specifications for new products and solutions.
• Drive system integration, installation design, and product optimization activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, and manufacturing to source new components and technologies.
• Support design reviews, technical investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Manage product quality, reliability, and cost improvement projects.
• Support verification and validation activities to secure robust technical solutions.
• Work closely with global engineering teams to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in product development within automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway, marine, or industrial sectors.
• Proven experience working with complex technical systems and cross-functional engineering projects.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of engineering tools such as CATIA, Creo, or similar CAD systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from Volvo Group or other global product development organizations.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, and product lifecycle management.
• Experience in electrification, connectivity, or software-based product development.
• Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing organizations in an international environment.
