Senior System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of our Integration Platform (IPaaS) running in Azure, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience.
• Guarantee platform integrity by taking ownership of availability and reliability.
• Lead incident response and participate in on-call rotations as the final point of escalation for complex issues.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies through automation, monitoring, and cost management.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in system engineering, specifically designing and running highly-available workloads in enterprise cloud environments.
• Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Deep experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem, including Helm, ArgoCD, and Kustomize.
• Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing Istio service mesh.
• Strong observability skills using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPN, VNet/VPC, routing, and firewalls.
• Ability to write or read code in Python or Go to solve automation and integration challenges.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and lead complex projects from concept to completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience specifically with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Knative.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted operations.
• Professional background in FinTech or experience with other IPaaS solutions.
