Senior System Ecologist

Responsibilities

• Approach landscapes as coherent systems by connecting abiotic, biotic, and human use factors
• Translate complex ecological processes into clear insights and substantiated advice
• Work on projects such as landscape design plans, nature management plans, LESA’s, and integral area developments
• Combine landscape ecological data, GIS analyses, and area knowledge into clear reports
• Take the lead in (sub)projects and mentor colleagues
• Act as a strong partner for clients and stakeholders, navigating between content, process, and policy
• Identify opportunities in the field and translate them into new projects

Requirements

• Completed WO-level education in ecology, biology, or environmental sciences
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience drafting design plans and LESA’s and guiding integral area processes
• Proficiency in creating strong substantive reports, GIS, and data processing
• Up-to-date knowledge of legal frameworks, nature policy, and programs in the Netherlands
• Excellent command of the Dutch language, both oral and written
