Senior System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment
• Support critical classified programs on the 3rd shift (Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM)
• Troubleshoot technical problems involving hardware and operating system integration
• Manage Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication
• Maintain security requirements in collaboration with Cybersecurity professionals
• Install and configure software applications and manage data RAID and backup technologies
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures

Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Linux or Windows environments
• Experience with Active Directory, VMware, administration, backup, and recovery
• Active Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• DoD 8140 / 8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF
• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies
• Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange
• High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment
• Scripting experience
