Senior Sustainment Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engage government and corporate stakeholders to produce mission-focused results
• Provide senior-level critical thinking and problem solving for technical challenges
• Coordinate with DoW agencies and commercial industry stakeholders
• Apply government SEIT processes in support of MILSATCOM and NC3 O&S activities
• Develop, analyze, and maintain systems engineering documentation and capability requirements
• Apply CMMI frameworks and DoD acquisition best practices to program office operations
• Travel up to 20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations as directed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in SE&I associated with system acquisitions or O&S
• Expertise in requirements development, analysis, and systems engineering documentation
• Knowledge of Agile software development processes (Jira/Confluence)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a DoD program office with understanding of acquisition processes
• 6+ years of experience with strategic and tactical MILSATCOM space systems
• Experience working in a CMMI environment
• Direct experience with Change Management and Configuration Management (CM) processes
• Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification
