Senior Supply Chain Specialist

About the Company

GITAI is a space robotics company working to reduce the cost of work in space by 100x. The company develops robotic systems for orbital, lunar, and defense applications, focusing on assembly, inspection, maintenance, and construction in environments where human labor is impractical.

Responsibilities

• Own procurement execution for assigned space defense programs, including RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier follow-up
• Negotiate supplier terms including payment, delivery, cancellation, IP, and liability
• Review supplier quotes and commercial proposals to identify risks
• Support procurement in export-controlled environments (ITAR/EAR)
• Track flow-down requirements, deliverables, and compliance risks for defense programs
• Maintain visibility into open POs, lead times, and commercial blockers

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, or operations
• Experience in procurement or supply chain within hardware, aerospace, defense, or robotics
• Experience in early-stage startup environments
• Experience supporting U.S. government or defense-related programs
• Working knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations
• Experience negotiating supplier-facing terms and commercial risk allocation
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FAR, DFARS, or government contract flow-downs
• Experience with SBIR, OTA, or prime/subcontractor relationships
• Knowledge of CNC, PCBA, harnesses, or machined parts procurement
