About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in developing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies and providing technical support
- Perform inspections of production operations and final product inspections against specifications
- Document nonconformances and assist in their resolution
- Monitor, calibrate, and maintain test equipment and fixtures
- Perform process control and monitoring of critical-to-quality parameters
- Collect, summarize, and perform basic statistical analysis on test data
- Assist with Gage R&R studies and the selection/programming of precision measuring equipment
- Help design, build, and evaluate test methods and inspection fixturing
- Create and maintain control plans for products and processes
- Support equipment, product, process, and test method verifications and validations
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, GMP, and company policies
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Experience with First Article Inspections (FAIs), Gage R&R studies, and validations
- Knowledge of Quality Systems, FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and GMP
- Experience using optical measurement equipment, hand tools, gages, and pressure/force gage testing
- Proficiency with sampling techniques
- Strong communication and computer skills, including data analysis and report writing
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the medical device industry
- Technical degree
- Experience with SAP
