Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support NPD, Global Footprint, and Supply Chain projects by evaluating and auditing new suppliers
• Lead supplier readiness and improvement initiatives for new product releases and product transitions
• Conduct supplier evaluations and audits of current global suppliers
• Deploy Watlow requirements to suppliers and work to close capability gaps
• Utilize supplier performance data to target and continuously improve supplier performance
• Ensure supplier compliance with change control requirements through training and auditing
• Lead major or escalated supplier corrective action activities using 8D methodology

Requirements

• B.S. degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
• 5 years of experience in an engineering, design, manufacturing, or process role
• 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Supply Chain
• Proven auditing experience (quality system elements, process audits, PPAP audits, etc.)
• Expertise in 8D, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, and root cause corrective action tools
• Working knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality system standards
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management experience
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools
• Experience in the Semiconductor, Electronics, or Aerospace industries
• Familiarity with thermal products such as heaters, sensors, and controls
