Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support NPD, Global Footprint, and Supply Chain projects by evaluating and auditing new suppliers
• Lead supplier evaluation and audits for current suppliers to ensure performance standards
• Deploy company requirements to suppliers and work with them to close capability gaps
• Lead supplier readiness and improvement initiatives for both new and existing suppliers
• Utilize supplier performance data and sourcing strategies to drive continuous improvement
• Ensure supplier compliance with company change control requirements through training and auditing
• Lead major or escalated supplier corrective action activities using 8D methodology
• Systematically develop suppliers to meet company quality expectations

Requirements

• B.S. degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering, design, or manufacturing/process role
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Supply Chain
• Expertise in applying 8D, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, and other quality tools
• Proven auditing experience including quality system elements and process audits
• Working knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality system standards
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management experience
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools
• Experience with metal, plastics, wire & cables, or tubing in semiconductor manufacturing
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of supplier organizations, from operators to CEOs
