Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with contract manufacturers and component suppliers to establish and sustain high-level quality standards
• Ensure activities across functional teams comply with change control, record control, and traceability system design
• Lead efforts to manage and improve manufacturing processes and implement best production practices in suppliers
• Author and execute equipment qualification and process validation protocols across suppliers and contract manufacturers
• Provide quality updates and dashboards of projects
• Identify potential problems and improvements with design of new products, specifications, and components
• Collect data and compile opportunities for improvement across supplier manufacturing sites

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant quality experience in supplier management within vape, medical device, or related high-volume industries
• Strong technical background in high-level assembly, testing, automation, mechanical component design, molding, stamping, CNC, or plating
• Experience writing qualification/validation protocols, reports, inspection plans, and quality procedures
• Proficiency in using statistical data analysis for risk assessments of designs and manufacturing processes
• Strong strategic thinking and verbal/written communication skills
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• ISO13485 internal/lead auditor certification
• Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)
