Senior Supplier Quality Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned parts and assemblies to solve supplier quality challenges
• Own production components and assemblies end-to-end, driving manufacturing improvements and supplier identification
• Conduct DFM reviews to ensure parts are manufacturable prior to sourcing
• Partner with procurement to vet suppliers for quality capability and takt time alignment
• Author and flow down specifications translating quality and manufacturing requirements to the supply base
• Scope advanced inspection technologies including AOI and X-ray to improve rate and quality
• Drive root cause resolution on part issues and implement changes at suppliers or internally
• Create and disposition Nonconformance tickets and coordinate rework or repair with engineering
• Lead containment activities on assigned parts and align cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace, Medical, or Automotive
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechatronic Engineering
• Prior experience in a supplier quality role
• Proficiency with GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PCB/PCBA electronics, fabrication, and assembly processes
• Fluency in IPC standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, etc.)
• Knowledge of statistical quality methods (SPC, Cp/Cpk, MSA) and Six Sigma or Lean
• Experience with PPAP elements (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, FAIR)
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems and NADCAP requirements
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems, Jira, Confluence, and Power BI
