Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Plastics

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical lifecycle of thermoplastic components from design concept to high-volume production
• Provide manufacturing feasibility feedback and spearhead technical evaluations for supplier selection
• Drive multi-stage tooling qualification and establish permanent on-site process controls
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on 3D DFM reviews and injection molding simulation packages
• Champion the rollout of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) with supplier teams
• Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and drive root cause analysis using 8D and 5-Whys
• Audit supplier process capability metrics and approve PPAP submissions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing, or quality engineering
• Deep knowledge of thermoplastic molding processes including injection molding and ultrasonic welding
• Familiarity with SPC, Root Cause Analysis (8D), and GD&T
• Proficiency in reading complex 2D drawings and using 3D CAD platforms
• Strong technical authority and communication skills for managing international partners
