Responsibilities
- Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware used in Starlink user terminals
- Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to understand design intent
- Support procurement by assessing supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems
- Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production phases
- Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis
- Implement and monitor the production part approval process (PPAP)
- Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify systemic performance gaps
- Identify and drive product and process improvements to lower cost and reduce supply risk
- Manage mission-critical supply chain through excellent supplier relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 6+ years of experience in supply chain engineering, supplier development, manufacturing, or design engineering
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the work week
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven track record of project ownership and cost reduction negotiation
- Knowledge of statistical techniques such as Six Sigma or Design of Experiments
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge of metrology tools and techniques for mechanical parts
- Knowledge of lean, production, and supply chain concepts
