About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, oversee, and assign maintenance and repair work for equipment, facilities, and utilities to ensure safe and compliant operations.
  • Provide front-line leadership to maintenance and facilities employees, including hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate work performed by outside contractors and vendors, including managing work permits.
  • Lead and coordinate equipment, asset, and tooling qualification and requalification processes.
  • Write, review, and approve operational documents such as procedures, work instructions, and validation reports.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory (GMP, OSHA, FDA), and internal standards.
  • Support troubleshooting of manufacturing process issues and the introduction of new assets.
  • Manage the requisition of tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • High school graduate; technical or trade schooling is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in maintenance and facilities operations.
  • Demonstrated senior supervisory or lead experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., Pharma, Medical Device).
  • Extensive experience with facility and utility systems, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Proficiency with CMMS (Blue Mountain experience is a plus) and MS Office applications.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work the 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-12:00am).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GMP requirements.
  • Proficiency in Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Experience with vendor management and third-party contractor coordination.
