Senior Supercomputing Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Integrate and maintain BIOS and BMC firmware to ensure robust server boot processes
• Analyze DRAM timings, PCIe configurations, and power state transitions for high performance
• Design and implement advanced system logging and diagnostic capabilities
• Integrate and optimize node-level orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for system software stability
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to resolve complex system-level issues
• Validate security features including root of trust mechanisms
• Review code and lead junior developers to unblock complex tasks

Requirements

• 10+ years experience with C/C++ or Python
• 8+ years experience with BMC (AMI or OpenBMC) firmware development
• 5+ years experience with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with server boot processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with advanced system logging and hardware log interpretation
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and server hardware architectures
• Knowledge of root-of-trust and security principles

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Experience with BIOS firmware architectures and OpenBMC development
• Experience with Kubernetes or Docker
• Proficiency with tracing tools like perf, eBPF, or ftrace
• Experience with performance benchmarking tools (gProf, vTune, Wireshark)
• Experience with Rust
• Experience with kernel-mode driver development and debugging
