Senior Substation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of comprehensive project plans, including technical design and material specifications
• Contribute to the design and specification of electrical systems for large-scale power projects, including transformers and cabling
• Develop and review high-fidelity technical documentation and engineering drawings
• Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant safety standards and local/national codes
• Manage end-to-end procurement of specialized electrical equipment and work with vendors
• Oversee physical installation and commissioning of electrical systems at field locations
• Provide clear technical communication to cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in industrial environments, preferably in power generation and distribution
• In-depth knowledge of power systems, control systems, and electrical safety standards
• Experience with electrical equipment design, procurement, and installation
• Familiarity with industry codes and regulations such as NEC
• Ability to travel to field locations up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Experience with renewable energy technologies
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and data acquisition
