Senior Structure Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own structural analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft structures, including modal, random vibration, static, and quasi-static loading
• Perform analysis on flight structures, mechanisms, avionics enclosures, and PCB assemblies
• Lead or support thermal analysis to evaluate operating margins and coupled structural-thermal effects
• Serve as a technical authority for hardware disposition, including nonconformance (NCR) resolution and root-cause analysis
• Partner with design and test teams to correlate analysis with test results
• Contribute to analysis methodologies and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
• 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years analyzing complex aerospace components
• Proficiency in linear and nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) using Nastran, Patran, ANSYS, or equivalent
• Experience with metallic and composite structures under various loading conditions
• Strong understanding of spacecraft load paths, structural sizing, and failure modes
• Experience supporting structural verification through testing and qualification campaigns
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Security Clearance
• Experience supporting NASA, DoD, or commercial spaceflight programs
• Familiarity with reusable spacecraft or orbital transfer vehicles
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment
