Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a group of 4-6 engineers in completing structural analyses on existing tower and communication structures
• Review structural analyses and foundation calculations performed by Design Engineers for accuracy
• Perform structural analysis and seismic calculations to determine structural capacity and governing loads
• Design complex tower modifications to reinforce structures and coordinate with drafting for construction drawings
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record (EOR) for reviewed and signed & sealed structural deliverables
• Write professional engineering analysis and construction reports for jurisdictional permitting
• Assist in managing vendors, construction timelines, and outside consulting firms
• Support the tower defect review process during new tower acquisitions

Requirements

• Four-year degree in civil or structural engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
• Proficiency in TNX Tower and RISA 3D software
• Knowledge of building codes including IBC, TIA Rev I & H, ACI, and ASCE-7
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in an entrepreneurial culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
• Experience in the communication tower industry
• Structural Engineer (SE) License
• Knowledge of additional foundation software
