Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the production and review of detailed 2D/3D design drawings and technical specifications for pipeline infrastructure and temporary works
• Carry out and check structural calculations and design reports in line with BS, EN and Eurocode standards
• Oversee and validate temporary works designs including pipe supports, crossings, and excavations
• Act as technical lead on key projects, guiding junior engineers and CAD teams
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless delivery
• Promote new methods and digital tools including BIM and point-cloud processing
• Ensure all designs meet CDM 2015 regulations and internal SHEQ standards

Requirements

• BEng/MEng in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
• Chartered or actively working towards chartership (ICE, IStructE, IMechE)
• 6–8+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure or pipeline design
• Strong background in both permanent and temporary works
• Excellent working knowledge of BS 5975 and relevant Eurocodes
• Confident communicator and collaborative team leader
