Senior Structural Engineer - Temporary Structures

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods, including heavy lift plans, erection procedures, and site logistics.
• Perform structural analysis to ensure stability during temporary conditions for bridges, viaducts, buildings, and tunnels.
• Design temporary falsework systems, cofferdams, excavation support, and work platforms.
• Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and demolition planning.
• Review design drawings and calculations to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry codes and standards.
• Identify design risks and assist with risk mitigation planning.
• Provide on-site engineering support, inspections, and mentoring for E.I.T.s.
• Assist in project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or eligibility within the United States.
• Proven experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering.
• Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, RISA-3D).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working in multi-disciplinary team environments.
• Ability to travel or relocate based on business needs and access construction sites in various climates.

• Master’s degree or greater in Structural Engineering.
