Senior Structural Engineer - Site

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all structural and civil engineering activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved designs and standards
• Conduct detailed structural inspections, quality audits, and material testing to verify workmanship
• Review and approve structural drawings, shop drawings, and construction methodologies
• Identify and analyze structural issues, implementing effective corrective measures to maintain project quality and schedule
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve design queries and site challenges
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and site teams, promoting technical excellence
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements through regular site monitoring
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and daily site records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior site supervision role on large-scale building or infrastructure projects
• In-depth knowledge of international codes including ACI, BS, and Eurocodes
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro or SAP2000
• Strong capabilities in AutoCAD and BIM (Revit/Navisworks)
• Proven ability to manage complex projects such as high-rise, commercial, or mixed-use developments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in the UAE or Middle East
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer certification
• PMP certification
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED
