Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the RH2 structural engineering group, including setting work priorities and allocating resources
• Design wood, masonry, steel, aluminum, and concrete structures for the Water/Wastewater Industry
• Provide QA/QC review of structural design drawings and calculations
• Develop design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
• Function as Project Manager for projects involving structural expertise
• Lead marketing and interview efforts to expand client base and service offerings
• Supervise, mentor, and train employees, including monitoring performance and resolving problems

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University
• 15-25 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in public sector consulting
• Current P.E. license in Washington or Oregon
• Current S.E. license in Washington or Oregon
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing municipal and public-sector projects
• Reservoir design experience
• Exposure to general civil and mechanical engineering disciplines
