About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design efforts for moderate to large industrial projects, including research, system selection, and detailed analysis.
- Oversee the development of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and guide entry- and mid-level engineers and designers through technical direction and performance feedback.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) to develop plans, models, and detailed structural documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-discipline engineering teams, construction personnel, vendors, and owners to resolve structural issues.
- Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, including staffing forecasts and resource utilization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in structural, civil, or architectural engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Current Professional Engineer License (PE).
- 15+ years of structural engineering experience in both concrete and steel.
- 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers and designers.
- Proficiency in engineering software including CSi SAP2000, SAFE, and RISA Suite.
- Experience with BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or water/wastewater markets.
- Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or design-build delivery.
- Experience with modular structural design.
