Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead an international team responsible for critical buildings within the Nuclear Island
• Design and analyse reinforced concrete structures for EPR nuclear power plants
• Perform structural calculations and Finite Element modelling using ANSYS APDL or similar tools
• Ensure structural integrity under seismic, dynamic, and environmental loads
• Collaborate with detailing, BIM, and technical direction teams
• Conduct structural assessments of design changes and propose modifications
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support construction site teams
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure safety compliance

Requirements

• Background in nuclear industry or heavy industry sector
• Established career in Civil Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience in Structural Civil Work, RC detailing, and steel structures
• Experience with Eurocodes or ETC-C
• Specific experience with European Pressurized Reactors (EPR)
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ANSYS or SAP2000
• Strong understanding of seismic analysis and design principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to undergo Basic Security Clearance (BPSS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional licensure or chartership
• Experience with on-site design support and contractor collaboration
• Proficiency in 3D BIM modelling such as TEKLA or Navisworks
