Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review structural shop drawings, calculations, and method statements
• Conduct site visits to monitor steel erection and resolve technical issues
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies or structural challenges
• Review and approve shop drawings and fabrication drawings
• Review RFIs and provide timely responses
• Ensure compliance with international codes, authority standards, and project specifications
• Monitor construction works to ensure design intent is achieved
• Attend weekly site progress meetings and collaborate with other disciplines
• Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians
• Adopt creative and innovative solutions to site problems and clashes

Requirements

• 12-15 years of experience in engineering consultancy firms
• Proven expertise in steel structure design and analysis
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in design software such as Etabs, Staad pro, IDEA StatiCa, or SAP
• Strong knowledge of international codes and authority standards
• Experience in site supervision and technical support for construction projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Chartered Engineering status
