Senior Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise concrete structure design, site inspections, and technical support for engineering projects
• Review structural shop drawings, calculations, method statements, and RFIs
• Conduct site visits to monitor steel erection and resolve technical issues or design discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with international codes, authority standards, and project specifications
• Monitor construction works to ensure design intent is achieved in accordance with local authority requirements
• Collaborate with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and day-to-day supervision
• Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians
• Prepare and present client and project proposals to stakeholders
• Implement and follow QHSE policies and local regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• 12-15 years of experience in engineering consultancy firms
• Proven expertise in concrete structure design and analysis
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in design software such as Etabs, Staad pro, IDEA StatiCa, or SAP
• Strong knowledge of CAD standards and 3D working
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Chartered Engineering status
