Senior Structural Designer

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Revit and AutoCAD designers to perform structural design and CAD/BIM production for temporary works.
• Work with engineering teams to self-perform structural designs for temporary structures including steel, wood, and concrete.
• Use Revit and AutoCAD software to produce designs for estimate and construction documents.
• Schedule and assign team design tasks and perform quality reviews of team deliverables.
• Coordinate with Design Leads to enforce CAD/BIM standards and maintain quality.
• Mentor and train early career designers and participate in the recruitment and interviewing process.
• Participate in design reviews to evaluate concepts and provide design cost estimates to engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in CAD/BIM design and production of structural design documents.
• Associate degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or a similar program.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and materials for structural work.
• Ability to read and understand construction documents and detail structural connections for steel and concrete.
• Strong critical thinking, planning, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional proficiency in Civil 3D, Tekla, or Navisworks.
• Previous experience in construction management.
