Senior Structural Analyst

Responsibilities

• Build and analyze FE Models of Node™-based vehicle structures for aerospace flight or automotive use cases
• Apply nonlinear geometry, nonlinear material, implicit, and explicit techniques to multi-physics problems
• Present technical analysis summaries and reports to engineering teams
• Create and refine technical solutions for aerospace structures to support customer programs
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design structures optimized for mass, production, and assembly
• Support prototype and production build activities and implement cost reductions

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 4+ years of experience in aerospace or automotive structural analysis
• 4+ years of experience with Nastran, Optistruct, ABAQUS, or LS-Dyna
• 4+ years of experience in non-linear, dynamic stiffness, and durability analyses
• Proficiency with Altair Hypermesh or Beta CAE ANSA preprocessors
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics and advanced materials (composites, adhesives, metals)
• Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with physical test correlation for material characterization
• Experience with automotive full vehicle homologation
• Experience with aerospace load applications and MIL-STDs
• Experience with DoD airworthiness stakeholders such as AFTC or FAA
