Senior Structural Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead structural simulations and optimisations across critical car systems
• Perform advanced structural analyses using linear/nonlinear, buckling, fatigue and optimisations
• Conduct composite structure analyses leveraging laminate theory and ply-level failure criteria
• Collaborate with design groups to refine load paths and influence design evolution
• Define, scrutinise, and validate structural load cases for regulatory compliance
• Prepare high-quality documentation and present findings in technical reviews
• Lead initiatives to improve analysis workflows and modelling accuracy
• Mentor and supervise junior and graduate structural engineers

Requirements

• Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
• Expert proficiency in finite element and conventional hand calculation methods
• Advanced proficiency in HyperWorks and/or Abaqus
• Strong experience with composite material analysis and optimisation techniques
• Proficient in CAD-FEA integration and automation scripting (e.g., Python, TCL)
• Knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance is desirable
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence skills
