Senior Strategy Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define integration strategy and roadmaps for manufacturing, diagnostics, and ECU software across VW Group brands
• Act as a primary liaison between VW Group brand manufacturing/engineering teams and Rivian/VWGT engineering
• Analyze and optimize manufacturing and diagnostic process flows for software-enabled operations
• Collaborate with software and diagnostics teams to track, triage, and resolve integration issues
• Lead or coordinate integration and test activities including SIL/HIL and vehicle-level validation
• Chair regular syncs with brand manufacturing and engineering counterparts to review risks and status
• Facilitate integration of new technologies like tooling, diagnostics, and automation into manufacturing environments
• Use data and KPIs to measure performance of integration strategies and improve workflows
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices for manufacturing and diagnostics integration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, diagnostics, or ECU integration/compliance
• Strong understanding of line commissioning and automotive production launch timelines
• Ability to work independently on complex assignments and manage multiple stakeholders
• Experience working with software and diagnostics teams regarding deployment pipelines and debugging
• Proven track record of synthesizing complex inputs into actionable insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with automotive production development milestones and build planning
• Experience in multi-brand or global manufacturing and validation environments
• Strong project and program management skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as MES, PLCs, and line automation
• Comfort working within joint-venture or multi-company collaborations
