Senior Storage Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead operational, testing, and documentation activities for enterprise storage and networking infrastructure.
• Perform day-to-day operations on Dell EMC PowerFlex, PowerMax (PMAX), and Dell Switches.
• Conduct resilience and failure testing, including simulating port/path failures and power supply failures to validate multipathing and system stability.
• Manage PMAX tasks such as snapshot creation/restoration, Unisphere configuration backups, and alert validation.
• Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Monitor capacity utilization, performance (per box, LUN, and host), and manage LUN masking, mapping, and service level configurations.
• Troubleshoot syslog configurations and review PMAX ports for errors and load balancing.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerMax (PMAX) administration and operations.
• Experience with Dell EMC PowerFlex in an operational or support capacity.
• Working knowledge of Dell networking and switching infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of SAN concepts, including multipathing, LUN masking, and snapshots.
• Proficiency with Unisphere for PowerMax management and Visio for technical diagramming.
• Exceptional technical writing skills for creating structured SOPs and LLDs.
• Experience with syslog configuration and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dell EMC certifications (e.g., PowerMax or PowerFlex specialist certifications).
• Prior experience in a client-facing or managed services environment.
• Experience supporting telecom or large-scale enterprise environments.
