Senior Statistical Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on statistical programming to support clinical trial assets, study teams, and data standards.
• Develop, review, and validate datasets and TFLs in accordance with CDISC-aligned Pfizer standards.
• Execute and modify existing codebases to meet the needs and specifications of the standards team.
• Ensure high-quality documentation and quality control (QC) across the entire lifespan of a study.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, including clinicians and statisticians, to meet project milestones.
• Contribute up to 80% of time to core programming deliverables in SAS, R, or Python.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, IT, or a related field.
• 3.5 to 4 years of relevant experience in SAS or R programming.
• Working knowledge of clinical trials and the drug development process.
• Strong understanding of CDISC standards and clinical data.
• Knowledge of ICH and regulatory guidelines.
• Proven ability to work with stakeholders across different timezones under tight timelines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of at least one specific Therapeutic Area.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with limited oversight and manage complex problem-solving tasks.
