Senior Staff Video Systems/Hardware Architecture Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in researching, designing, and optimizing video codec and computer vision systems and hardware architecture.
• Design, develop, and verify complex video systems, including Video Encoder, Video Decoder, Computer Vision, and Video Quality features.
• Perform architecture studies and algorithm decomposition to drive hardware development requirements and specifications.
• Analyze customer product requirements to define new architectures or modify existing designs for mobile, automotive, and IoT markets.
• Ensure all designs meet key performance indicators (KPIs), including system performance, area, and power metrics.
• Drive triage of technical problems to determine root causes and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 7 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 9 years of progressive experience.
• Extensive experience in video codec design and computer vision systems.
• Strong background in hardware (HW) architecture and logic design.
• Proven ability to perform algorithm and feature decomposition for hardware implementation.
