Senior Staff Specialist - Functional Safety & Cyber Security

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with ISO 21434 and ISO 26262 standards, as well as other relevant regulations like IEC 61508
• Implement cyber security and functional safety strategies, policies, and procedures for the Automotive Microcontroller department
• Serve as the main contact partner for internal and external security and safety audits and assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software development, concept, design, and verification, to integrate safety and security into product development
• Manage and maintain cyber security and functional safety management systems, including all necessary documentation and records

Requirements

• Technical degree in electrical engineering, microelectronics, physics, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in functional safety and/or cyber security, preferably within the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of ISO 21434 and ISO 26262 standards
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (German is a plus)
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience with microcontroller products and automotive systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications in cyber security and/or functional safety
• Experience working with agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of automotive-specific safety and security threats and vulnerabilities
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies
