Senior Staff Software Engineer, Network Automation

Responsibilities

• Own the Network Automation Platform and define the technical roadmap for the automation stack
• Design and own the authoritative data model (NetBox, Nautobot, or equivalent) as the source of truth
• Architect intent-based, declarative, and model-driven configuration pipelines
• Drive gNMI, OpenConfig, and NETCONF/YANG strategy for telemetry and configuration management
• Build event-driven, self-healing, and auto-remediation systems
• Set technical direction for the observability platform including Prometheus and Grafana
• Partner with Network Architecture to ensure automation-first designs
• Mentor Staff and Senior engineers through code and design reviews

Requirements

• 12+ years of network engineering experience with a focus on platform engineering and IaC
• Proven track record of designing network automation platforms at hyperscale
• Mastery of Python or Go at a platform level with CI/CD integration
• Deep experience with gNMI, OpenConfig, NETCONF, and YANG
• Experience owning a network source of truth platform like NetBox or Nautobot
• Expertise with Arista (EOS), Juniper (Junos), and NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms
• Strong knowledge of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP
• Experience building streaming telemetry and observability platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
