Senior Staff Software Engineer, Founding BMC

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for BMC firmware across server platforms, including architecture, bring-up, and release engineering
• Lead BMC engineering relationships with ODM and OEM partners
• Drive BMC security architecture including secure boot, root of trust, and attestation
• Build BMC-driven telemetry and observability for fleet operations
• Hire, mentor, and scale the BMC engineering team

Requirements

• 8+ years of firmware engineering with deep hands-on BMC experience
• Expertise with production BMC stacks like OpenBMC or AMI MegaRAC
• Experience with embedded Linux, U-Boot, and device tree layers
• Proven track record of BMC bring-up on new server platforms using schematics and device maps
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python or shell scripting
• Deep familiarity with IPMI 2.0, Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, and NC-SI
• Hands-on debugging of BMC-to-host interfaces (eSPI, LPC, IPMB, KCS)
• BS/MS in CS, EE, CompE, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with ODM/OEM partners on firmware
• Familiarity with Yocto or BitBake build systems
• Experience with BMC security (RoT, DICE, SPDM, or firmware resiliency)
• Knowledge of DC-MHS, DC-SCM, and OCP hardware management
• Active OpenBMC contributor or maintainer
• Experience with GPU server platforms (HGX-class)
