Senior Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems for Databricks workspaces
• Perform low-level systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization on large production clusters
• Build architecture designs and influence the product roadmap
• Introduce tools for greater automation and operability of services
• Plan and lead complicated technical projects across multiple teams
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements

• 15+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures
• Experience driving company initiatives towards customer satisfaction
• Ability to work towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience
