Senior Staff Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert Root Cause Analysis (RCA) facilitator and own end-to-end stewardship of major manufacturing quality event investigations
• Act as the core Quality partner for R&D and NPI teams to transition new products into stable manufacturing
• Oversee Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) frameworks to optimize manufacturing yield
• Partner with cross-functional teams to lead Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions
• Establish systematic routines for manufacturing floor walks and process audits
• Execute internal audit programs and support readiness for external quality certification audits
• Track and report key quality performance metrics and drive QMS awareness training

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of quality engineering experience within an established QMS (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or GMP)
• Advanced proficiency in data-driven RCA tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, and CAPA
• Demonstrated expertise with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards
• Strong working knowledge of statistical software, specifically JMP or Hex
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and mediating conflicts
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff on quality principles
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment and move long distances on a manufacturing floor
