Senior Staff Quality Control (QC) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical QC leader across large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects
• Define and improve program-level quality engineering standards, inspection methods, and acceptance criteria
• Develop, refine, and govern Inspection Test Plans, checklists, and quality documentation standards
• Ensure critical MEP systems are installed in accordance with design intent, specifications, and code requirements
• Partner with Construction, Design, Commissioning, and subcontractors to drive consistent quality outcomes
• Lead root cause analysis for recurring defects, non-conformances, and system-level quality failures
• Establish defect taxonomies, trend reporting, and quality metrics
• Drive pre-functional and functional readiness standards in partnership with commissioning teams
• Mentor QC Engineers, QC Managers, and trade partners on technical quality standards

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in construction QA/QC, quality engineering, or field engineering
• Deep technical understanding of MEP systems in mission-critical or industrial environments
• Strong experience with electrical distribution, mechanical/cooling systems, and controls
• Proven ability to develop ITPs, inspection plans, and NCR processes
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and commissioning documents
• Strong field presence with the ability to identify installation risks and quality gaps
• Willingness to be on-site full-time and travel to other construction sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center or hyperscale experience (e.g., AWS, Meta, Google, Microsoft)
• Experience in complex large-scale construction (healthcare, semiconductor, refinery, or power)
• Familiarity with Procore, BIM360, Autodesk Build, or Bluebeam
• Relevant certifications such as CQM, CQI, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or ASQ
