Senior Staff Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the global deployment strategy and multi-quarter technical roadmap for network infrastructure across data centers and edge sites
• Author internal RFCs and technical standards for physical and logical network deployment
• Partner with Network Architecture to ensure designs are optimized for hyperscale deployability
• Architect the deployment automation platform using Python, Ansible, and CI/CD-based systems
• Establish validation frameworks, including burn-in and site acceptance testing (SAT)
• Lead vendor and partner strategy for cabling, remote hands, and hardware vendors like Arista and NVIDIA
• Mentor Staff and Senior network deployment engineers and lead design reviews

Requirements

• 12+ years of network engineering experience with a focus on large-scale data center deployments
• Experience in hyperscale, large cloud, or ISP environments
• Mastery of physical layer standards including structured cabling (SMF/MMF, MPO/MTP) and high-speed optical transceivers
• Expert hands-on experience with Arista (EOS), Juniper (Junos), and NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms
• Strong proficiency in BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP
• Proven track record of designing deployment automation platforms using Python and Ansible
• Ability to diagnose complex physical layer issues using OTDRs and light meters
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
